Richard joined the interior design team after previously working for DSK. He trained as an architect at the Bartlett School, University College London. After graduating he worked with Terence Conran for 26 years, leading Conran & Partners as a director from 1993 and Managing Director from 1999. He founded Doone Silver Kerr in 2010, running the company until its acquisition by Ryder in 2022. Richard has worked at all scales of architecture and interior design projects, from a 40-storey tower to a noodle bar and has wide sector experience including residential, retail, offices, hospitality, museums and airport lounges. He has completed projects in 15 countries, most extensively in Japan, where he continues to work. Richard was a governor of the Kent Institute of Art & Design and has taught in UK and Asia design schools.
